Renting here is not a checkout screen and a box on the porch. It is four visits’ worth of getting it right, handled by people you can stand in front of, a few minutes from Effingham.

Come in
Stop by with your date and the occasion. We talk through the styles and colors, what suits the day, and how it should sit on you. If it is a wedding or a group, we map out the whole party so everyone matches and no one is left to guess.
Get measured
We measure you by hand, in person, and build the order through Jim’s Formal Wear. Out-of-town members can often be measured at a participating shop near them and added to the same order. We confirm the pieces and the price with you before anything is placed.
Try it on
When the order arrives, you come back and try the real garment on, here in the shop. If a sleeve or a waist needs adjusting, we handle it locally, with time to spare. You see how it looks and moves well before the day, not the morning of.
Wear & return
You pick it up ready to wear, looking the way it should. After the event, you bring it back to us in Teutopolis. No shipping window, no packing, no deadline counting down while a box sits on a porch.

How early should I come in?
As early as you can, especially in the spring when weddings and proms stack up. Call us with your date and we will confirm the window for it, so there is time to order the style you want and fit it before the day.
What about party members who live out of town?
Because we are an official Jim’s Formal Wear store, members who cannot get to Teutopolis can often be measured at a participating shop near them and added to your order, so the whole party matches.
What does a rental include?
A complete look for the occasion, put together with you at your fitting. The exact pieces depend on the style you choose, and we walk through all of it in person so nothing is a guess.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the styles and pieces you choose. We confirm it with you at the fitting, before anything is ordered, so there are no surprises.
What if it does not fit when it comes in?
You try it on here before the event, and we handle any adjustment locally before you take it. That is the whole reason to rent in person instead of from a box.
